CMNTMXR81 Posted September 25, 2003 Share Posted September 25, 2003 I toured the Janesville Assembly plant when they were still producing the old C/K Tahoe's/Suburban's. On the other side of the plant, they had a completely new assembly line set up for the new Tahoe's/Suburban's that they were running test runs on and had all brand new computers, robots, lines, etc. In back is where I met my dearest. My tour guide (a friend) took me waaayyyyyyyy in back. I had told him rumors of a new BBC in the 500 cube range. So there we are, in the near dark, and there it sat under cover. Peel back the cover, there sat a prototype 496'er nestled lovingly into the frame rails of one of their new Suburbans. Ahhhhh...love at first site. The rest is history.
