Post your T1 wheel/tire setup

Hello- I have a 21 sierra elevation, stock suspension. I'm looking to install 22 inch OE replicas and don't want any modifications. No lift, no level, no trimming, no spacers. I'd like to keep the smooth ride and not lose mpg if possible. Not really planning on going off road but I would like AT tires.  I was thinking about 285/50/22 tires. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

275 50 22 is what they come with when 22s are optioned in from the factory. Maybe stick with that if you want to make sure you dont have issues?

I know this is late but I’m going to be running this exact same set up on my 2021 Denali. Same vision wheels same size tires with 2 inch level. Everything is in the mail.

I’ve been racking my brain doing research. What kind of trimming did you have to do to get it to no rub? Thanks! Great looking truck btw!

Make sure the replica wheels have the same back spacing/offset as OEM wheels. Look around the board there’s T1 specs thread maybe pinned at the top with that info.

You need to check these measurements yourself, but I think you can go up one size without problems, as in 285/50/22 or 275/55/22. Since you’re staying with the stock front end height, you should measure between the back of the tire and the upper control arm and see how much space you have. Then measure between the tire and the fender or mud flap at its closest point. Then go look at the specific tire you’re considering and compare it’s actual dimensions from the manufacturer to your current tire’s actual dimensions from that manufacturer to see how much bigger the tires are and whether they’ll fit in your space. That’ll tell you most reliably what will fit short of actually fitting the tires on the truck or someone else already figuring this out for you.

Filled out the wheelwells a little today. Stock tires were GY Wrangler Territory 265/60/20, new rubbers are GY Wrangler Ultraterrain (10 ply) 285/65/20. 34.8" tall... pretty close to 35's.  I had to do a little minor surgery only on the passenger side mud flap.  Driver's side cleared by 1/4".   Just had to trim a little off the passenger side with a utility knife. Pretty easy.

Stock wheels, no level, no spacers. AT4 stock suspension.

Balanced out perfectly. Discount tire... highly recommended. See before/after pic.

Looks great! Are those factory wheels or replicas? Can you provide the specs? Thank you

Final got some new tires. Have a bilstein 6112 up front set a 2 inch. With 1.25 block in rear from 2009 silverado. Went with 275/65/20 Bridgstone Revo 3. 34.1 Tall.  Was looking at a lot of different tires. They got good reviews and where one of the most lightest LT tires out there 52 lbs. Was considering the Nitto Terra Grappler this size in p-metric was 47 lbs. But Revo reviews sold me.  Was still concerned about contact on the mud flap up front. I removed it before I got the tires to see if I could gain some more clearance. There was a 1/8 thick metal tab in the back where contact would be close.

I used a 8 inch c-clamp to bend it back as far as it would go. Then used a sheet metal screw to pull the liner back into it. Gained a good 1/2. I think the metal block can be removed with three bolts. To bend the tab back off the truck. But the clamp worked great.  Tires ride great. Very quite. Fills the wheel wells just right. Speedo still reading correct.

Replaced my stock 18's with 2' spacers for a set of Fuel Block D751 (18X9, -12 offset). I believe this offset is just the perfect amount for these trucks.

I'm gonna be running the same setup soon. What hub rings did you use?
