Seems like they were all long wheel based until extended cabs were introduced. Something about a short bed being used to tow heavy trailers being unsafe or something like that.  Not saying it can’t be OE specs, but I’ve never seen a SWB c/k20. 
Remember choo choo customs? They modified vans, trucks, el caminos, etc and looked like they were factory jobs.
