Wow ok maybe I’ll pay closer attention but I swear it’s as smooth as silk. I see either a recall or TSB coming. My Allison has learned and shifts are now clean and transparent

you will know it if your truck has the problem , it is very apparent ,i'm not just being a critic ,because other than this problem it's a great product

Update: 300 miles and smooth ride but Allison downshift from 2nd to 1st is violent every 2 or 3 stops, not sure why any thoughts?

I installed a banks iDash which lets me see which gear I am in. Interesting enough, whitout a load attached I start in 2nd gear everytime. Only time I start in first is if I select L. I havnt towed since installing the iDash so I cant say for sure that will drive it to 1st or not. I can tell you that during the first few hundred miles I would get an occasional surge from 1st-2nd/2nd-3rd? (guessing on gears because it was pre iDash). I havn't felt that in a few weeks though, was told the trans has a learning period to figure itself out, could exlain why it starts in 2nd now and I havnt felt that surge recently.

i spoke with a GM field engineer ,they want to do road force balancing to get a base line for the shimmy , i sent them a video of the shimmy and they are aware there is a problem that exists ,just waiting for my dealer to finish the repairs on my 19 ZR1 and will drop it off and pick up the vette

thanks guys for the input, i haven't had time to do anything yet and thought i would give it some miles to see how it progresses since it seems very subtle and i cant seem to feel it through out the truck.     iam at 675 miles.    i still wonder if it has something to do with the DSA steering?

mike  , do you know if the field engineer has heard of this problem before you spoke with him?
