Hey All,

New owner to a 2019 GMC Sierra SLE 5.3L V8. I have been doing some research into seeing exhaust options but wanted to ask real people rather than seeing the search results in google.. lol.

Pre note: I have the single exit exhaust, not the dual exit exhaust.

I am looking for something a little louder than stock - I am not someone who wants to blast the neighbors and want something extremely loud, primarily looking for something thats a cat back, that's more performant and sounds a little better and a tad louder than the stock. And if anyone has done this with the single exit and has pointers or links, please let me know!

I have a 2016, so same engine but maybe a different transmission, though that's beside the point.

I went with a Dynomax Ultra flow cat-back exhaust system. It was $300 with the rebate. Not sure if the rebate is still going on but it was a good deal. It's louder than stock but still quiet off the throttle and cruising down the freeway.

I'm not sure what they have available for the 2019+ trucks yet.

I did the magnaflow catback and I love it. I went with the dual rear exit behind both rear tires 3” pipes with 4” tips. At 1st I was disappointed because it sounded like it barely made a change but after a few days it got louder but not too load.

1 thing, I don’t know if it’s with every after market exhaust but I do hear the dfm kicking in now with the new exhaust.

That's awesome! Did you have the factory single side exit previously? Or did you already have the dual exhaust?

Do you have any pictures by chance? Or video clips? And how was the install process

I can take pictures when I get home tonight. Install was pretty easy. Took about 1 1/2hr. Most of the time spent was adjusting it. I have a 6” lift so I didn’t even have to jack up the truck. I was able to pull the stock exhaust in 1 piece.

i did the borla s type cat back split. 1 per side from my stock single. love it. but it took about a week to burn off/in the muffler. tone changed. for the better. it just needed to break its self in( burn off excess packing). so give yours time.. hiway long runs heavey on n off pedal. it will tune in so to speak..
