Is there a specific brand of 02 sensor i need to use!!!!????

I have a 99 GMC Sierra 1500 4X4 and i was wondering if there is a specific brand of o2 sensor that i need to use... because someone was telling me that i have to use OEM for this truck because they dont like NON-OEM o2 sensors. and that they act up and jump all over the place. this guy wanted to charge me $89.99 a plug as well... can someone please help me out with this i would greatly appreciate it...

ACDelco is the OEM. I would order from Amazon or GMparts direct or something like that. Never had a problem with my 02 sensors so I can't comment on quality of the aftermarket or the 5.3l not liking Bosch or denso. For plugs I would run ACdelco. I have seen a bunch of 5.7l engines not like Bosch plugs. Used to get them returned at the parts store all the time. As far as price to install, $90 a plug is ridiculous. I'd say 2 hours labor max. Plugs shouldn't be more than $10 each with the mechanics markup. If it's over $300, find another shop.

Buy AC delco or Denso o2 sensors. Either from the parts store or source the correct part number for your truck and buy it online like said above.

I've got whatever random brand NAPA sold me 4 years ago, and they've worked fine for me. But, if I had to replace them again, I'd probably get ACDelco ones (same with the rest of the sensors), as the pcm seems to like them better...
