Removing lower dash on 2019 Silverado LT

Recommended Posts

I’m trying to install a ram mount pistol holster and wanted to remove the dash under the steering wheel to make it a little easier to bolt this thing on and there is NOTHING on the internet about the newer models’ dash removal. It’s a bit different than the previous models, as far as the dash configuration. A little guidance would be much appreciated. I removed the fuse panel. There’s a 7 mm screw there, also a T5 hex screw connecting the upper and lower dash. I removed both of those. There’s another 7mm under the dash under the steering wheel. I popped the 2 bracket pins things and I still can’t get it budge. It seems Like the middle portion of the dash under the radio might need to be removed. I’m really not sure. Let me know. Thanks

Yea, that’s what I’ve been doing. Or just keeping it on my person, but this holster is pretty cool and much easier to access quickly. I’m going to look at it again tomorrow and hopefully have some more info on here by then. Thanks for the response.
