Is Red Hot a Grown Up Color?

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the input. I showed the red hot to my wife and she made sort of a barf looking face and rolled her eyes.

I think it does look sharp but also feel like I might get sick of it being too loud after a while.

I wear socks with my Crocs to my kids soccer games so obviously I don't care what other people think, but when you use your truck partially for work and visit clients, there is something to the image your vehicle portrays.

At the least, you’ll get all the attention your heart desires!

My father is a general contractor and his pickups have always been red. His dump truck and debris boxes are red as well. When you keep things nice people notice. He’s known around town for having “ those nice looking shiny red trucks”. To me that’s positive advertisement.

Let’s face it though.....crocs and socks in public is just a bad call all around.lol

That may be true, but I for one don't care what others think or say about my footwear...  sometimes I want something a little warm, and want to slide my shoes on...  good combination...    :)

I am still waiting for them to bring Red Hot back to the LTZ like in my 2014...

Was thinking about an RST, but I love the heads up display in my ZL1 Camaro.  Cannot get that in the RST...  Only the LTZ and High Country.

I went cajun red.  I thought about the red hot, but decided to tone it down a little bit.  Never really thought I liked red, but then only ended up test driving red trucks.
My wife's Subaru had a dark red metallic similar to Cajun red, but in certain lighting it looked like a raspberry which I didn't like. Is the Cajun red a color shifter that turns raspberry colored in certain lights?

The only shift I have noticed was directly after a polish and wax while wearing polarized sunglasses it looked much brighter red.  Odd scenario but that is the only time I noticed.

Happy Birthday to me,  recently turned 70 and after owning over 3 dozen Chevys during the past 50 years this RST is the first one colored red. Options and appearance was always more important than the color itself. Only rule was to never have more than one in the the same color at the same time.

Wasn't really crazy about red, but felt sorry for it at 4 miles on the odo, having sat for over 5 months on the lot without a single test drive. Likely due to the  $56K+ sticker which was higher than some LTZs. The $14K+ off the Maroney including all taxes and tags sealed the deal despite the color. Offical GM color for the '19 Silverado is "Red Hot", but same color code is also called "Pull Me Over Red" on some other GM models.

Must be a popular color for '19s.....there were 6 red out of about 20 Silverados on the main lot in this color when I purchased and not a single red one left 3 months later. Actually looks great once dechromed using black accents, would have gone with black side moldings too, but the wife insisted they would look better matching body color. Chrome grille bowtie surround has got to go also; I have to decide whether a dark maroon or black chrome like used on Traverse redlines to blend in.

My father in law (who's in his 50s) drives a red truck. That's my first choice of colour but my wife (who's in her 20s) told me no.

I just bought mine while my wife (who is in her 20's) was out of town ?
