Just learned something...no red ltz currently.  Be darned

But the weird thing is that you CAN choose Red Hot when configuring a 2020 2500HD LTZ.

WTF?

Happy Birthday to me,  recently turned 70 and after owning over 3 dozen Chevys during the past 50 years this RST is the first one colored red. Options and appearance was always more important than the color itself. Only rule was to never have more than one in the the same color at the same time.

Wasn't really crazy about red, but felt sorry for it at 4 miles on the odo, having sat for over 5 months on the lot without a single test drive. Likely due to the  $56K+ sticker which was higher than some LTZs. The $14K+ off the Maroney including all taxes and tags sealed the deal despite the color. Offical GM color for the '19 Silverado is "Red Hot", but same color code is also called "Pull Me Over Red" on some other GM models.

Must be a popular color for '19s.....there were 6 red out of about 20 Silverados on the main lot in this color when I purchased and not a single red one left 3 months later. Actually looks great once dechromed using black accents, would have gone with black side moldings too, but the wife insisted they would look better matching body color. Chrome grille bowtie surround has got to go also; I have to decide whether a dark maroon or black chrome like used on Traverse redlines to blend in.

That's a beautiful truck, really like the sport bar but you know I'm biased.  Did you just add the 2 Lights or was that already on there?

Bolt holes standard on bar....added two cheapo halogens Auxbeams under $30/pair on EBay.....GM wants $995 for their OEM identical looking add on kit.

Hooked up using a plug in 12v transformer to the lighted dash switch controlled for the 110v bed outlet.....sure saved a lot of time and under vehicle wiring, firewall entry, relay, tapping into the fusebox and an under the dash switch.

Thanks, this is very helpful, been wondering how I'm going to configure my own.

I bought mine yesterday and (like most adults) am not concerned about the opinions of others. My wife and I went to buy a silver trail boss and came home with a red one. I saved about $3K and got a free sport bar.
My wife says the sport bar on the red truck will look a little childish but I haven’t made up my mind. The bar would not serve any purpose on mine since I don’t have enough garage clearance to install lights so I may sell it.

Wife told me any color but red! Well the dealer sold the white one I had my eye on that day and the salesman pulled up with this 6.2.  He overheard me talking about the big motor to my wife and it was the only truck with it they had that wasnt fully loaded.  The red is growing on us both daily.

That came from Graff in Davison didn't it? My buddy is a sales guy there and that's where I get my trucks from. I snooped around at that one when they got it in...sharp truck!

Yes it did, that's funny. So random how close we are. I like the small dealership they have.
