Add Wireless Charging "Dock" to 19 RST Console

Has anyone attempted or thought about adding this to front part of their center console? I saw that the AT4 had this capability and maybe higher end Silverado models, but not my RST.

I have an AT4 with it and thought how great it would be, I never use it because I use CarPlay, have to use the cable to use Waze, Google Maps and the music sounds better that over Bluetooth.

There have been people here who mounted an aftermarket wireless charger in the console lid (where it was in the previous generation)...if I didn’t already have it, I’d sooner do that over add the factory part. While I like the location, it charges so damned slow it’s pointless to even bother with on short trips.

Yeah, don't bother with it.  Like the others say I use the wire anyway to get Android Auto.

Until we get wireless Android Auto or Apple Car Play it's not a good option right now. I never use it for my main phone, but my secondary phone sits there most of the time.

i did it... it was easy...but it sucks, i never use it and have my phone plugged normally for apple carplay

I'm thinking more of just the position it will sit in while driving. I don't drive the truck that much, but when I do, there's hardly a place to see the phone if it's not plugged in.

just bought a wireless charger and dissected it...pulled the guts and used what i needed
