Does anyone know if I can Iadd  a half quart of the red line full synthetic for dexron 2 to my 2004 trailblazer

It's dexron II?  How old is it?  A half a qt probably wouldn't hurt anything but for what the cost of a qt of dexron VI is I would just go buy one to use.

I think you mean Dexron III..... that's what was being used in 2004. iirc, Dex III replaced II in the early 90's. Dex VI replaced III in 2005. I would do as suggested above, buy Dex VI. Half a quart of full synthetic Redline will add no value

I would suggest putting in a DexIII fluid, as, while DexVI is generally considered compatible with it (or at least, as a replacement for it), at least some vehicles have had problems with seals leaking when switched from a DexIII fluid to a DexVI fluid.  The seals themselves needed to be upgraded so they wouldn't leak with Dex VI.
