XFE PACKAGE EXTENDED FUEL ECONOMY RPO code

I have a 2011 Sierra - 1500 - 5.3 - 6 speed - 3.07 rear end.   Manual says it will tow 6800 lbs.  If the truck had the XFE PACKAGE EXTENDED FUEL ECONOMY option it could tow another 200 pounds.  

Does anyone know what this is and why it would raise the towing capacity?

Swapping to 3.42 or 3.73 would get you like another 2,000lbs of towing too. My old 2012 crew cab with 3.42's was 9,500lbs max towing.
