The pic appears to be the the 4" tube step, not the sport step the OP asked about.  

 

(does looks like it might be the same as the tube-type one that GM offers)

How much grip do they have in the rain/snow? they look very slippery. wonder if line-x would solve that

I am in so cal so I haven't had to worry about snow, but it has been raining the hat couple weeks. I don't feel that they dangerous to use in the rain. Line x definitely might help improve them.

I put on the Rough Country HD2 steps last night and they’re growing on me. They were a bit of a pain to get on by myself in the dark (and rain).
