2020 Allison - oil can filter?

Hi All,

 

One part (among many) that I like about my current Allison is the ability to change the external oil-can type filter on it for very little time and cost.  Do the new transmissions still have this feature?  When I first heard that they were GM designed and built I had the feeling that they might not.

They don't have the spin on filter anymore which is a disappointment.

The spin on oil filter is gone on the GM built Allison branded 10L1000 trans.    Why would they continue a good thing?
