Zone 6.5 inch lift kit - stamped steel ARMs version

I bought the above kit and the heavy duty upper control Arms for my 17 Sierra , went to GM dealer for fixing and they said that this kit will 100 percent cause damage to the electronic steering rack of the car ( cost will be like 2000+ USD ) .

The max they can install is 4 inch as not to void the steering rack warranty

 

From your experience is that true that all cars with 6+ lift will have steering rack damage .
