2015 AFM cylinder deactivation mainifold

Recommended Posts

I am repairing the AFM on my 2015 5.3 . I have decided against the delete since I dont want to change the cam. I have been advised by several people to change the cylinder deactivation manifold since they can be the root cause of the problem. Dorman makes an aftermarket but its not listed for the 2015 Silverado.  Local autoparts store has the solenoids made by Borg Warner as a separate item . Does anyone have any experience with this part, rebuild? replace, OE or aftermarket??

thanks

Many of them remove the manifold and instert an aluminum insert in the block oil passageway. After you reinstall the old manifold and run it.
