Oh good Lord! Huge difference and that’s with Redline, makes tons more sense to stick with what I’m using now. Appreciate it Grumpy

Why change if your happy and $100 oil changes are OK.

You regulars on here know me. Off the shelf oil.

I chose Castrol Edge 0W20 for our new car.

https://www.castrol.com/en_us/united-states/home/motor-oil-and-fluids/engine-oils/motor-engine-oil-brands/castrol-edge-brand/castrol-edge.html#tab_0w-20

Specs

  • API SN PLUS / SN
  • ILSAC GF-5
  • ACEA A1/B1
  • GM dexos1® Gen 2*
  • GM 4718M
  • GM 6094M

Penzoil Ultra 0W20

https://www.shell-livedocs.com/data/published/en-US/e847d1bf-da55-4b8f-8bd2-ed73c21c2e06.pdf

Specs are close to the same.

I maybe wrong but the ACEA A1/B1 certification makes it a little better than oils without this spec IMO.

:)

SAE spec for SAE 30 @ 100 C (212 F) is 9.3 to 12.49 cSt. This report is saying 8.8 to 11.3 cSt? That's confusing.

I appreciate everyone’s input, I just ordered2x cases of my 0W20 plus their EA Filters to add to my stock, will definitely be checking to see if there’s any residue but I doubt it, will report within next couple weeks.
