Drilled and Slotted, who’s running them?

Recommended Posts

I ran those on another truck, never will again. The drilled holes allow cracks with the heat we get hauling. (Both fronts had cracks within 25k.) Slotted are good, even dimpled. But anything with a full penetration reduces the surface areas capacity for heat dissipation and focuses stress at a spot where it wouldn’t otherwise be.

Hmmm.. great info to know thank you. A company I’m talking to SP-Performance has some slotted and dimpled rotors so maybe I’ll look into those.

No prob. If I can save anyone some aggravation I try! Haha. I personally am still on the OEMs on my 18 but when I change I’ll likely get some slotted only. I’ve had pretty good luck with those.
