01 1500HD crew cab body to 2500HD crew cab frame swap

Hello to all.

 

I have an 01 Silverado 1500HD crew cab, 4x4, short bed and was looking at buying a used 2500HD crew cab, 4x4, short bed rolling frame listed as 2001-2007 as all being the same. I was looking to sandblast the 2500HD frame and paint it and restore the 01 body onto the 2500HD frame. Can this be one? Are the motor and trans mounts the same so everything just bolts up or will some modifications have to be done? will I be able to use the 2500HD rear axle and front diff. or would I have to swap them out with the 01. Looking for some advise
