Key fob/ service tire pressure monitor system

Question

Hello, I have a 2011 Sierra 1500 and key fob didn't work one morning and then got in truck and service tire monitor system came on dash. I can't reset LEARN tire pressure location. Holding down lock/unlock on fob. Horn never chirps. What can I do? Thanks

Sounds like more than likely you've got a dead battery in one or more sensors, or a failed sensor. You'll need a scan tool capable of accessing the TPMS system in order to check that. 

 

You change tire positions in the DIC. Scroll through the menu until you see the TPMS option. You have to go around the truck from tire to tire letting air out until the horn chirps. Whatever tire you should be on will be indicated by the lit turn signal / marker lamp on that corner of the vehicle. Usually it goes from front left, and around the vehicle ending at the left rear. 2 or 3 horn chirps indicates it has learned.
