My new RST 3.0 Dmax

Recommended Posts

Heres my new RST Dmax. Was ordered by a salesman that backed out, i think he did a good job. First off i love the Dmax, perfect mix of my last two trucks, 05 Dmax and 14 1500. Although abviously doesnt have the power of my 05, it still is really awesome pulling grades compared to my 14. But with the better ride of the 1500. The fuel mileage is great as well. 6e8393674f3eab81fb70daedd956a982.jpg

I'd love that truck with the Trail Boss lift added to it.... Or does it have it already ?? I'm hoping the Trail Boss gets the Duramax....
It doesnt, but throwing a 2" lift on it is easy. It has the trailboss wheels and tires allready

Great looking truck.  If I did not do so much stop and go driving (not by choice), I might have been tempted by the diesel.  I came from an LML Duramax so I love diesels, but when my driving requirements changed, I had to go to the gasser.  No regrets on the 6.2L though, the acceleration is awesome and as a side bonus I am averaging 18-19, very reasonable IMO.

That is awesome mileaage especially for city driving. I opted for the 5.3 because i wanted to improve gas mileage from my 2008 Silverado with the 5.3. Im getting about 19 and change but i only have less than 800 miles on it. I test drove a 6.2 in the Denali and At4. Holy. Crap. That thing was a beast for a big truck. I was afraid of losing gas mileage though and was already at the top of my budget.

I will tell you that when I passed 3000 miles, the average seemed to increase.  I don't know why, and honestly I get on the throttle more now than before.  I calculate the tanks by hand, but gotta admit the truck computer average is always very close.  My 2015 HD would vary much more, this 2020 is about spot on for me.
