Truck will not start/crank

I saw the thread about failures to start, but this is different. My truck just will not crank, intermittently.  This has started happening more frequently lately as well. Doesn’t matter if the engine is hot or cold. Sometimes it will start on the second attempt and sometimes I have to let it set for a few minutes. Very frustrating! I get power to the dash and a sound of the started “ engaging”, but it refuses to turn over. Has happened with the ignition button as well as with remote start. Anyone else dealt with this? The truck goes back to the dealer to remedy this on Monday morning. I’ll update accordingly.

approx 12,000 miles. No codes.

I would go get a battery, starter, alternator test at AutoZone. all they do is hook up the tester to the terminals and then they'll let you know.

honestly sounds like a battery issue or a loose starter cable. If the dash is powering on it's not the Anti-Theft.

What is your battery gauge reading when it doesn't want to start?

Interested to see where this goes 2017 1500 Silverado here, went out last nite to run to the store, all lights come on on the dash, seems normal, go to turn it over and all I hear is relays under the hood click but nothing from the starter, no cranking at all, battery reads 12.6V on dash and at battery on multimeter. Checked fuses, all good, tried remote start, nothing. Went out this morning same thing no crank no start. Was almost midnight so I said wait till the morning now there’s 3 inches of snow on the ground first time all year and I have a gravel driveway.

Turned out to be a loose connection from the starter solenoid is what I was told. Seems strange that it would be so intermittent like that but it must have been making enough of a connection most of the time. I’ve started it several times since getting it back and I’ve had no issues.
