What's with all the Ads?

Not sure if this is part of the ad problem or not.  For the last 3 or 4 weeks or so the back button on my browser doesn't go back to the previous page. All other web sites I visit work perfect.

As previously noted, use an ad blocker and you won't have to deal with them

So I've shown this with my ad blocker off to try to make it clear: there's an ad at the very bottom of the page that covers the notifications and also interferes with text entry when trying to post. If you run ad block, you don't have to see the ad itself, but you still get a white box blocking content. Any chance of just getting rid of the one ad box that sits at the bottom of the screen?
