Has anyone done a jump seat conversion on a 2020?

Recommended Posts

So I recently purchased a 2020 GMC Sierra and I have the jump seat configuration Id like to switch to the jump seat to a center console and I was wondering has anyone done that on a 2019 or a 2020 GM truck already? I feel this is a do-able modification to my vehicle but Im looking to see what I would need to do. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

There's a couple of threads on here dealing with it,hardest part is finding the console. It took me 4 months of daily searching at salvage yards before I found one.

Is your jump seat leather or cloth? This weekend I am truck shopping, I want the LTZ features but they typically come the center console which I do not want, so a trade could happen here. I had a 2018 LTZ in which I did the same thing, swapped out the console for the jump seat

Hi

This is out of a 2020 Sierra. It should fit my 2020 Silverado,  correct?

Should be a direct bolt in. However that looks to be an AT4 with brown stitching on the lid. So you may want to change that and the side trim that matches the doors. If the price is good I'd snap it up. They are kinda difficult to come by.

Be sure to get the trim finish panel that fits below the usb and dash outlet as well as the bracket on the bottom of the console.

Also, I've read that if your truck is a base or custom then the wiring is not present to make the interior light or usb ports function without some custom wiring on your part.

Hi

Thanks for the info. Can you elaborate on the trim piece you're talking about? Also I do have the custom so wiring could be an issue. Would you know if the rear AC vents will be any problems.? I can get it for $630 shipped.

Thanks

Hoss

The rear a/c vents on the console will work no problem as long as your current jumpseat has them.

My truck also had the usb and charger port on the rear of the jumpseat with the a/c vents. So the ones on the rear of the console function as well. The interior console light also works. I simply unplugged the jumpseat harness and plugged in the console harness in its place.

If your custom doesn't have this usb and charger port then it doesn't have the needed wiring harness to make the console ones functional.

I have a 2022 Silverado 1500 four-wheel-drive. The dealer ordered the 2 inch lift kit they offer and I’m waiting for it to come in and have it installed. But I noticed that the kit doesn’t come with upper control arms. Is that going to be a problem?

      (***UPDATE*** )

so I had the factory lift gm offers installed. When I picked it up, it looked great but as soon as I went to drive it off the lot. I could tell something was wrong it felt completely different. I figured it was just a break in period. But even after a day or two, I was getting crazy bad vibration at low speeds. Took it back. They ended up putting one of the U-bolts on wrong (I have pictures if wanted) they fix that and told me the vibration was gone. I get my keys go to drive away vibrations right back. I turn right back around. this time they have a mechanic ride with me. He clearly hears  an feels a vibration, says somethings wrong so we turned around and he takes it back in. Three hours later they bring my truck back they had to remove the back blocks said there was no taper to them and it was messing up drive line. I got it back and the vibration is still there. (Now annoyed that only the front is lifted and still vibrating). I have them take the whole lift kit off. Put it back to stock. (Now remind you my truck has been down and I’m missing work for 5 days at this point) And after that Whole ordeal, I was done with the truck since I couldn’t have it how I wanted it and decided to trade it in and they made me a good deal on a 2023 5.3 LT.z71

I know many have gotten this lift installed said it worked out for some reason it did not for me. I’m much happier with the new truck.

Hello, I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 4X4, 110,000 miles, was driving down the road and suddenly stopped moving, truck still on but won't move. Goes into drive and reverse but wont move. No check engine light, transmission fluid full, and clean, no crazy noises. Any clue what it could be? I have been told the linkage, or the transmission pump... Any advice is appreciated.

I have a 2022 trail boss lt that has about 6100 mile on it now. Bought it brand new in may 2022 and it seems like the drivers seat leans to the left towards the door. Almost feels like Im gonna fall out of it and no matter how I adjust it it seems the same. Visually it looks like it sits level and is fine. Is it possible something is broken inside like the frame? I would assume the frame would have to be sturdy. Is there any place that sell a better bottom cushion?

      Hey all,

I have a 2022 Sierra SLT with passive entry locks on the front handles. Does anyone know if I can easily add passive entry locks to the rear handles? Acquiring the actual handles would not be the issue but I'm wondering if there is a harness (or whatever powers the front passive entry buttons) in the rear door to begin with. I know they come standard on Denali, so was thinking GM might just leave the wiring in the door for different trims but not include the passive handles all around. As I type this, though, I'm sure there's programming that needs to be done but figured it was worth a shot - because why not!

      Any help is appreciated, thanks!

or sale are my set of custom painted, OEM Sierra Denali LED Tail Lights. I had these painted to go on my truck and unfortunately they took so long I had to go a different direction before I got them back.. I have since moved up to a 3/4 diesel and am hoping these can find an owner who will appreciate the time, effort, and $$$ that went into creating them!

These OEM LED Tail Lights are selling for $300 - $500 a piece online, and the cost to have these custom painted Mineral Metallic to match the Denali paint + the lens smoked (lightly, not enough to dim them when lit!) was $700 - looking to get $1,000 including shipping. Can cut a better deal if wanting to pick up in person in the Houston, TX area.

Please reach out for additional pictures, questions, etc. I respond much quicker via text (405) 642-9097

      Thanks!
