S&B CAI '19 5.3 CEL

Installed the s&b cai about a month ago, everything had been fine until about 3 days ago  getting "check air filtration system" message now.  Anyone else have this problem or know what the problem is?

Cant hurt to check that the connectors for sensors are still connected.

You can turn the monitoring system off using DIC. I had the same issue and was able to turn it off.

I turned the filter life option off when I installed it

No,  normal brand new amount was on it, didn't add any either

No code,  the message center on the cluster says "check filtration system"

The title of your thread says "CEL" short for "check engine light".  Is the check engine light on?  If so, there is a code.

I know on the s&b cai for the 3.0 diesel, the first instruction was to disable the air filter monitor(afm) in the dic.

 

I had a s&b employee email me after the install, how I liked it and to ask if there was any issues.

 

I responded with a question as to why the afm needed to be disabled and the response was that the cai flowed more and would confused the afm system.

 

Disable the dic afm and install an old school afm if you want to know your filter life.
