My 2016 Silverado 1500 with just under 50,000 miles starting making a humming noise a few weeks ago. Its not like anything I've ever heard before because right as I hit 55 MPH the noise starts and if I slow back down as soon as I go under 55 MPH the noise stops. Like it switches on and off at 55 MPH. The noise also does not change tones as you accelerate and deaccelerate. I don't know if it will go away past any speed as I have taken the truck to about 85 MPH and it was still there. It sounds like the noise is coming from the passenger rear but I am not 100% sure on that. Anyone have any idea what this might be? I've never had a noise on a car/truck just turn on and off like this and not change pitch as you change speed. Thanks

Just curious, are you in 2 wheel drive? Or auto4x4?

I started having this issue at around 58k , sounded like a tire issue as well but it isnt, I am bringing it to a non dealer mechanic to see what it is -
