Inventory and ordering lead times

Thanks for the reply elcamino.  I'll be contacting my salesman.  If they can't push this thing through I'll move my order to the largest dealer around that should have allocation - hopefully.  It's been 6 months and I'm tired of it.

Preliminary order – A vehicle order that has been submitted to GM through the OrderWORKBENCH system. It would have successfully gone through Pass One. These orders have an Event Code of 1100 (Preliminary Order Accepted)

2000 = Accepted By GM (Dealer used allocation to place order into production)

Guy I work with wants an HD to replace his 19 trail boss.  Went down by Flint last week. Said there are fields of trucks sitting stagnant right now. I wouldn't be hovering over one dealer if I needed a truck. But if I didn't need one right away, I'd probably wait for the sell off, with the redesign coming for 23 they'll be pushing.

All those trucks outside the Flint plant are probably on "chip-hold" waiting for chip modules to be received and installed at which time the particular lucky truck will be loaded onto transport for delivery.

I have a 2022 cayenne red 3500 Denali HD with Denali Ultimate option that has been held since manufacturing completion (less certain chip modules, of course) on 17 August.  My original order was placed 7 April for the same as a 2021.

So tired of waiting.

I think you either need to see it in person or get a photo of it.  I have a 22 GMC on order and the dealer recently said I can have the Driver Alert 1 package (I think that's the GMC equivalent to your Safety 1 package) EXCEPT it will not come with the front and rear parking sensors that are in the bumpers...which I did really want along with the other items. In this case you can simply look at the bumpers to see if the sensors are there or not. Supposedly everything else in the package will be included.  I don't know what will show on the window sticker and if everything else in the package will really be included but we will see.  The GMC package I am talking about is pasted below for reference.

The window sticker is available for each vehicle shown on the GMC inventory listing.  THe sticker for my factory order is absolutely consistent with what I ordered less heated rear seats which has been deleted by GMC (presumably to save a few chips per vehicle). There is a $200 credit on the MSRP for the deleted rear seat heat.

And the standard equipment listing on my MSRP unequivocally includes Front & Rear Park Assist.

I ordered a 2022 Silverado 2500HD Custom on August 15th.  I selected essentially every package that is available on the Custom.  It was built the week of September 27th and was delivered October 4th.

I ordered my Sierra 3500 on 8/10.  Sales rep said delivery would likely take place in November.  It's 10/15 today and I have no updates from the rep. Congrats to those who are taking delivery after a short wait.
