Alright guys and gals. I changed out rear and front ends with 410 gears to replace the 373. When i looked inside the 373 rear to remove c clips(semi floating) I saw thst it had some sort of trac loc carrier in it. The 410 rear end has the plain jane carrier. What is the better one actually called from gm and what aftermarket would compare? This one wheel spinning crap sucks

Most just call it the G80 rear end. I thought Eaton made it.

 

It's not that good to be honest, the auto-locking parts can fail and grenade the rear end.

 

I would get a Eaton Tru-Trac to replace  the open diff.
