This doesn't really take a study.  Carvana a couple months ago offered more for mine than what I paid for it new (mind you, I got my for 17k under MSRP, so that does help).  That's a nice offer that I wanted to take, but I have since struggled to find a replacement truck.  I'm just waiting for the '22 AT4 to come out with the updated interior now.

Bought my 2014 slt 6.2 in 2016 for 33k with 20k miles

 

Now has 60k miles and can sell it for like 31-32k!

 

40k miles, 5 years, $2k in depreciation on a nearly new hot rod luxo truck. Hell yeah.

 

but then I remember the $15k in fuel lol

 

probably going to sell it and get base electric f150. $32.5k after tax credit.

 

and instead of 10mpg of premium I get like the equivalent of like 60mpg.

You do know that base model only has 200 miles of range and a snails pace changer...right? A working model cost $10,000 more!! Also a tax credit is people paying themselves back money they sent the government...right?

Yes.

 

99% my driving is urban/suburban, thats why I average 10mpg. Realistically it’s more like 8 mpg but it’s offset by the brief highway travel I’m getting 25mpg.
 

being that electric can recoup a lot of the energy used during braking, it’s perfect for this area.

 

literally 15 miles away takes 30-60 minutes

 

that’s $5-10 in fuel, or like $1 for the electric truck


My range is only like 250 miles now, and with electric, everyday I start with a full tank.

Then it's a perfect fit for you. I expect allot of others as well. Me...I don't climb in the cab for under 100 miles so for me a200 mile limit a non-starter. However a cheap electric two seater would be nice for say, a bunny hop to the barber shop 😉
