2021 silverado 1500 WT transmitter pocket

Recommended Posts

I have 2021 silverado 1500 wt with crew cab and bench seats. Trying to locate transmitter pocket. Manual said it should be  at the back of the storage compartment under the center seat. But I don't have compartment under seat. I have only armrest storage compartment. Please, help me to find out pocket. Thanks.

WT trucks don't have push button ignition, they still use a mechanical key.  WT and Customs don't have a transmitter pocket and won't as there is no need for it.

Only LT, LTZ and High Country will have one because they have push button keyless ignition.

Okay. How then I can learn new key fob for my truck?

Did the truck come with a remote to begin with?

The dealer is pretty much the only way.  There is no way for you to do it unless you have a full blown diagnostic scan tool or a GM MDI2 and access to GDS2.

If it didn't come with a remote from the factory, it might not be able to have one added to it.
