How to remove reflector in Headlamp assemblies

I've noticed that many people have removed the reflector from the headlamp and signal assemblies, but i'm wondering how. I tried pry apart the headlight unit but nearly busted it to pieces around the edges. Can anyone recommend a proper way to do this and if i open them up, what kind of sealent I need to reseal them.

When I removed my amber lenses from my headlights, I also had one hell of a time. The adhesive the held the front and back together is stronger than whale's breath. I just had to go VERY slow and take my time. It took me over two hours to pry the two lenses apart without breaking them. I just used two wide blade screwdrivers and worked it slowly. I resealed the two pieces with a liberal amount of clear silicone. Hope this helps.

its too hard....just spend 300$ and get some denali projection lights that have a clear reflector.

I did manage to pry them apart, not all the way, just far enough to let the insert slide out. What a pain in the It was worth it though, since i'm on a tight budget, looks really sharp. I got this link from someone that has details about doing the mod.

good info But I tried it with my signals and it did not work i got them apart and found out the reflector is glued into the lense part. so i have to buy the clear corners. worth a try though
