Adjustment in rack and pinion??

Hello

 

i have a 2006 Silverado with some play in the steering. I have changed the intermediate steering shaft and the steering lower bearing. I still have some play in the steering. Does the rack and pinion have an adjustment screw to tighten it up? Any suggestions in fixing my problem so welcome. Thanks in advance.

I have a 99 and have play in the steering. It's pretty normal for GMT-800s in my experience.

There’s no way of eliminating the play?

Very few parts are replaceable/fixable on these racks. 

If you look, thinking it is going to be leaking around any fittings. Had to replace the rack on my 99 & 04 due the fact the soft metal they use on the housing deteriorates over time letting water and dirt get inside destroying it.
