‘19 6.2L failed oil consumption test

Took my truck in for a low oil message and they started an oil consumption test. Truck failed the test and goes back in 2 weeks to start tearing into the motor. 6.2L with 18,500 miles on it. GM claims it’s burning 1 quart per 1,000 miles. I imagine it’s the rings.

I have a 2021 GMC Denali 1500 with the same problem.  Using a quart every thousand miles.  20000 miles on the truck.

12,500 miles on my 2021 Sierra Denali 6.2L and it has not used 1 drop of oil.   Had a bent pushrod but no oil consumption.
