GMC Sierra headlights

Recommended Posts

After hearing about the recall involving the GMC Terrain for their headlights being too bright made me think of the topic on this forum about GMC Sierra owners being told their headlights are too bright or flashed by oncoming drivers for bright lights while having their low beams on. Hopefully it doesn't come to a recall for our trucks.

The biggest problem with the Silverado/Sierra isn't the headlights.  Owners put leveling kits, raise the front or drop the rear to level and that throws the aim off. An inch or 2 makes a huge difference in the light plane down the road. It's all about aim and adjust which most don't do after leveling.  2 guys I work with leveled and didn't adjust their lights.  They were getting flashed; I adjusted them and "voila". No more being flashed.

Presumably its ones that are poorly aimed due to lift/level or loading.

Presumably we don't yet have enough info about how the refreshed ones perform

I get flashed all the time with the Denali. Stock truck not leveled and not towing. I don't think they are overly bright either. Both rows of lights illuminate and I think oncoming drivers see the four lights and automatically think I forgot to dim. With the fogs on, it's worse .
