Tow Mirror Upgrade (DL8 to DPN) - Harness Really Required?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have gone through the main thread that PGAMBOA put together breaking down how to upgrade to tow mirrors. However there is one question I have not seen answered.

I have a 2018 Silverado 1500 LT Z71 with DL8 mirrors (Power adjust, heated, manual fold). I want to upgrade to the OEM tow mirrors part # 23372182. I realize I need to make/buy a new harness for it to be properly installed. However, what If I don't care about the signals/flood lights? Can I just plug in the new tow mirrors into the existing harness and still have power adjust and heat? Will the connectors on the tow mirrors even fit into the existing harness?

I see that PGAMBOA has his harnesses for sale here, but I reached out and never heard back.

Let me know what you guys think.

My apologies.  Yes, you can just plug in the new mirrors and adjust/heat will work.  Those harnesses in the link will get the lights to work.

No need to apologize! Thank you for the quick response. I am leaning towards buying the harness from your site, so long as there are no issues shipping to Canada? I assume there are still supply chain delays for this though.
