What would a "real world" delivery time estimate be for a new 2023 order?

I don't think anybody can answer that question. Because there are delays everywhere in the process it seems by reading post of people waiting on their trucks. 1 may say it took 2 months while another may say I'm still waiting after 5 months. Not as predictable anymore since the Covid shutdowns.

Local dealer told me if you order a new vehicle, plan on at least 6-months (or more) before seeing it.  The more optioned and higher trim level the longer the time frame.  Production is scheduled to start 08/29/22, according to published reports.

I ordered my 2023 silverado LT the first week in November 2022. It was built the first week in January 2023. It's been sitting for 7 weeks now waiting to be transported. No word on when that will happen. Very annoying.

You have better chances of picking winning lottery numbers than to know for sure when your vehicle will ship. When you combine the QC issues with nationwide logistics  delays, delivery of vehicles can be the most frustrating part of the whole  journey. There is no transparency to actual data. . It will likely take longer the more rural you are and the lower the volume of cars your dealer sells.
