I am running 18x9 +18 Method NV HDs with no rubbing and 35x12.5 K02s... They don't poke like crazy no, but a blanket statement saying any new rim size will rub is incorrect.

Right your 9 inch rims don't rub, makes sense, for me putting bigger tires on a standard width rim seemed pointless. But to each there own

Not really pointless, you can widen the offset with 20x9's, go with a larger tire (say a 295/65/20 with roughly a +12 offset wheel) and have no rubbing stock.

A lot of people like bigger tires for looks and appearance without the silly wide rims (that deter from said looks and appearance)

 

But to each their own I guess... was just saying that it works.

I agree, I love seeing all the different looks of people's trucks, that's how I get to know what I personally like and don't like.  But they are all cool
