Terrible sound when cranking over

2008 GMC Sierra Denali. This sound comes and goes. It’ll make the sound for a couple days then stop for a week. Is this the starter going out? The check engine light code was P1400. It has since went away on its own.

I heard it; I never heard a vehicle make that sound before! Did land just a little south of Moline? Jody fell out of his tractor, couldn't believe what he seen! Laid on the ground and shook, fearin' for his life! Then he ran all the way to town screamin' "It came out of the sky."????
