I replaced the stock battery in my ‘16, battery manufacturing date of 2015, this past Spring for no other reason than on my biannual load test, it was a little weak. $140 for new AGM at Walmart.

Have you looked at that price NOW? 😱 Add a hundred to it. Just gave $173 for a flooded cell for the Honda Civic.

Just curious because you are showing info on Group 48 batteries. I linked to a 94R battery that has slightly better specs. As far as I knew, my 2016 called for the 94R. Do some Silverados use the Group 48?

Because this is the battery a quick google search said was used in my K2** :dunno: Yea, not a GM source. I get it.

I guess I could go measure. Group 94 is 12.4375 long while the Group 48 is only 11 inches long. They have the same width and height.

For kicks, I went to the Batteries Plus site to see what they show. Turns out that for the V6 motors, it does show the Group 48 batteries only. For the V8 (5.3 and 6.2) it shows the 94R as the recommended. Interesting...
