i use this one:

Amazon.com: BottlePro (2-Pack) - Adjustable Cup Holder Adapter, Compatible with 32/40 Ounce Hydro Flasks, Iron Flasks, Takeyas, Simple Modern, Nalgenes, Fifty Fifty, Thermoflasks, Klean Kanteens : Sports & Outdoors

Have 2 in my wife's traverse and one in my silverado. It telescopes at just the right spot so it's not too high, and if it's a little loose in some holders, you can put a beer cozie on it for a snug fit.

I used drink holders that fit the cup holders and get larger from there. Some are completely sealed so they don’t leak. I have about a dozen. My kids default presents for dad. Seems easier than fitting the holder to the drink container. Find the container to fit the holder. Two pieces instead of three.

LOL First world problems! What did everyone do before the 90s? My 85 Camaro IROC has ZERO cupholders. That's what passengers or between your legs was for!

When I lived in Texas, decades ago and would get stopped I'd ask the cop to hold my beer while I look for my license.

For a while someone made a cup holder that hung from the inside of the driver's windowsill. Thermos between my knees worked fine for me.

My first was a plastic device that stuck on top of my dash. My coffee cup would clip to it by sliding in. You raise the back and pull out. At that time period my cold drink was Diet Coke. I had a six pack cooler that sat on the floor behind my feet.

Went to Pep Boys and got one of those cup holders that hung on the door from the window channel
