That's definitely the cam lob delaminating issue that's plaguing those 7.3's. Feel bad for him.

He talked in that video about feeling less power out of it now, no doubt that's why the 7.3 took longer than the 6.6, I knew something was off in that test because you can't put out more power in a similarly heavy truck and take that much longer up the hill, the math is just off there.

What’s on paper isn’t the whole story. Stock for stock dyno runs have these two power plants neck and neck. That’s what matters more than stated power at the crank.

Do you have a source on those dyno runs? Would love to see them.

But even if they're neck and neck at the wheel, there still shouldn't be a minute difference. That Ford was clearly limping at that point already.

They were posted here a few times. I no longer have them saved.

Ford needs almost 50 more cubic inches to just edge out the Chevy. GM knows pushrods. Ford knows how to make their front end shake violently down the road on trucks with less than 1k miles. Seen it multiple times.

My brother has a yard full of Fords some with over 200K miles for his business. He’s a Dodge fan starting with a 79 little red express. My mother drives a 2000 1 ton diesel with over 200K miles. When does this shaking start? I understand brand loyalty I drive a Chevy. My other brother Rams. Let’s keep things real. Ford made 1 questionable Diesel the 6.0, Chevy can’t make that claim.

Actually Ford made 2 turd diesels, the 6.0 and 6.4.

Agree the Ford must have already been sick when he made the pull.  Still an impressive performance by the Chevy.

I'm just hoping the guy is still under warranty.  That would totally suck to have to pay for a new godzilla engine.  I'm thinking that's not cheap.

Luckily, the trucks you’re familiar with are not having the death wobble. Many many others are not so lucky. Go on YouTube and search death wobble super duty. Plenty to choose from and that’s just the ppl who know how to upload to YouTube or care to. Most never do.

I’ve been around lots of Fords never heard of it. I’ll have to ask my brother about it. Him and his son run about 20 ROW crews all Fords.

For me personally, it really wasn't taking the chance of getting the death wobble, it really was them using so much aluminum in areas that really need to be steel.  I'm not an engineer, I see where they weigh a lot less than our Chevy HD's because of the Aluminum used, but to me, ehhh I prefer steel and the weight.  That weight helps with sway and towing a lot.  Hey I've got an idea, how about they start making them out of Titanium....oh yeah.....that would be affordable....LMAO!!..

You’ve never heard of death wobble? It’s very common.

Only with vehicles with oversized wheels.

He absolutely did.  But I disagree with you concerning Roman, he comes into the videos looking like he just rolled out of bed.  I mean come on man!!  He could at least buy a comb or take a damn shower before he gets into those videos.  He has no respect for himself and the others there are paying for it..and I bet they know that too!

It was a while I met him.  In fact, it was back when I had my 2010 Toyota 4Runner Trail Edition.  I'm thinking 2012.  In person, he was very friendly.  That is all I am saying.

Their channel in general is much more about fluff.  Very little technical expertise.

Yeah if you guys like actual car review channels reviewing many makes and models, Alex on autos does a fantastic job on digging into the vehicle. TFL is just to pass time.
