Figured I'd revive the thread (again)

I've got 252k right now, and at the rate I'm going I might hit 300k by the end of the year.

What I've replaced - all in the name of trying to get rid of a p0093 code.

Started with the crushed fuel line - FASS pump $500.

Replaced injectors with factory reman - $300 for all 8.

Tried replacing the fuel rail pressure sender - $95.

Moved on to injection pump/lift pump and regulator - $170.

Also replaced front seal in trans, rear pinion seal, and right hub - $425

Total $ 1490...

and worth every penny!

My '06 Silverado has 100,600 miles :) , majority of it highway miles. Yeah, I do a lot of driving (about 3,500 miles/month). So far so good.

Did have to resurface the front rotors twice--added stress from 22" wheels and lowered suspension might have something to do with that. Aso, the "Check Engine" light is on. I'll get it fixed one of these days.

Wow, did you purchase your truck new?

I will not complain about my fuel costs again.....I don't even know what you went through last summer :) .

Just a guess: $950 a month to $1300.00 based on average info (damn that is a lot per month).

I know that feeling well.

I drive around 4,000 miles a month.

Last summer...when the gas was so expensive...I was spending around $1,500 a month.

When people drive that much they are normally making more, so congrats if that's the case.

I had a 92 S-10 43 with 200,000+ when I gave it away. no leaks and started right up.

96 s-10 with 196,000 when I sold it two months ago because I bought my current truck.

Current 5.3 now has 104,000 on it and I consider it a baby.

Bravada 4.3 we have has 125,000 and is running strong.

other GM vehicles I have had (3) have all been past 170,000 miles and still ran strong when i got rid of them or junked them.

owned one Chrapsler and it dies on my at 127,000 and I junked it for $200. :)

Last year we retired 2 of our work trucks. One was a 1997 Chevy 1500, 5.7L, auto, 4x4... We were ready for it to hit 300k on the original motor, but the trans went out for the 5th time at 297k and work didn't want to drop another $1500 into it. We sold it to a guy that dropped in a rebuilt trans and has over 300k on it now. The 5.7L got penzoil 5w30 every 5-7000 miles, didn't burn a drop, and could light the tires up with ease. Just couldn't keep a damn trans in it.

We also retired a nbs 1999 Silverado 1500 with the small v8, ran great but went through at least 2 qts of oil between changes. Pretty much only changed the oil to put a new filter on it! That got retired and 225k and I think that one only got 4 transmissions.

But my current work truck is a 2000 Silverado 2500 with the 6.0L and it only has 150k on it and its just about at the end of its life. It runs poorly, uses oil, the transfer case wore a hole through itself, but the 4l80e is still working, but otherwise its the worst truck we've ever had. Its at the dealer every other month for a minimum $500 repair, its just a money pit.

All the miles we put on are 98% highway, usually with a load of stuff in the bed or maybe 2 or 3 times a month pulling a 20' enclosed hallmark trailer. We get our trucks serviced at the GM dealer a few blocks from work

My personal truck is a 1999 GMC Sierra SLE, 5.3L, auto, 4x4, ext cab, short bed with 160k miles on it. It runs good and still running the original trans, t-case, rear ends... But it needs an intake manifold gasket, and the CEL always comes on for something... I see no reason this one won't go over 200k

Yeah, got my truck new, last week of Dec '06. One of them Red Tag deals. And yeah, my fuel costs are pretty high. I don't make much $, but I do have to drive a lot. M. Cueva had a good estimate of my fuel costs. Last summer's gas prices did hurt. So careful budgeting helps.

My 2000 Z71 5.3 has 287,000 on it. I've replaced 1 ball joint, fuel pump, alternator, and brakes. I bought it with 11,000 on it, and have changed the oil every 4k, and kept up on maintnence. That's why I recently bought another Z71 with 14k on it.

my 95 gmc z-71 has 261,700 miles on her. She still has the original motor and transmission. Infact, everything is still original except, tires(6 sets), shocks(1 set), one alternator, 5 batteries, 3 driverside door handles, u-joints twice, one water pump and 2 mufflers. I excluded all routine maintenence items like plus, wire, cap and rotors. She currently needs tires, shocks and paint. I love my truck. if it wasnt for the increased cost of gas, she would more than likely have about 325k by now.
