I just turned over 150,000 on my 98. I've run mobil 1 in it since new. I use about 3/4 of a quart between oil changes (7,000-10,000 miles). i've replaced the computer twice, O2's once, plugs once, One U-joint, Two sets of tires, front brake pads. It still runs strong, but the tranny has been making noise for the past year & a half.

1995 Silvy- 18miles to 175K- Replaced alternator/ Oil cooler lines/ Egr Valve/ HVAC Controls/ Battery/ Driver seat bracket/ Belts.

1998 tahoe- 48k-132k- ABS Wheel sensor/ Leather seat cover.

1997 Tahoe- 101k-148k- EGR Valve/ Fuel Pump.

1995 Yukon- 160k-178k- Oil Cooler lines/ Front wheel bearing/ Clean EGR Valve/ EGR Valve solenoid.

None left me on the side of the road. All driven hard as these engines like to be. Towed Bass boats/ 5800 lbs Formula boat and Snowmobiles. No transmission issues but I think that is a fluke. I did use the gas pedal to shift trans. If you lift slightly on pedal the trans will shift.

My '99 C2500 currently has 158,450 on the 5.7 vortec, but I am encountering some really mind boggling idle issues with it. I had an old '74 that had 252k on her when I sold it. I had to put in a new camshaft in her because GM used some really soft metal back in those days.

Cheers Jim

Still own '95 C1500. Bought at 170K, now has 349K, never rebuilt engine or tranny. Changed the oil religiously between 5K-15K with the cheapest shit I could find. I think this maintenance regimen toughened her up, not like those panty-waisted peeled-grape-eating synthetic-oil-pampered engines. :D

OK, not a "truck" but...

My 90 Astro is mostly original @ 347,538 miles (559,308.19507 Canadian) (04/2008).

Bad startup puff.

Starting to spray for skeeters.

I haul bottled water everyday- between 500 and 2500 pounds (226.796185 and 1,133.980925 Canadian) INSIDE the van.

That's pretty cool. 90s 4.3s were known for their startup puff.
