I still have no clue what VRP is using.  I'm still using Amsoil SS 5w30, which has great solvency but I'm highly considering VRP, Red Line Euro 5w30, HPL Euro 5w30 or one of the Mobil 1 Euro oil.

I have an idea what the “cleaner” is. I’m still finalizing my theory before I share it.

If I can get Rodger Dale England CTO at Valvoline to show up r give us a write up I will.

Exceptional performance custom

made ESTOLIDES base oils for sale to industry. Not a in house branded maker of latest tech fully formulated automotive lubes. Expect these bases being used in branded products and you won’t know it.

@Grumpy Bear , I thought bought some of the blended with GRPII test oils they sell

for proof of concept.

I’ve watched this company and others for years but cost to the blenders is an

obstacle.

I do not think it’s being used in VRP because of cost.

Their new CEO was their CTO for last few years. He’s young and very sharp chemist and builder of estolide custom chemistries.

Wish they’d just build a line for us geeks.

So why post that? It may the key to VRP cleaning. A key ingredient key that VALVO INDIA RESEARCH leveraged?

VRP vs M1  BK results  :  COMPELLING even drop in insolubles. How do you do that when cleaning, filter captured it all? I doubt it. Something in the VRP is solublizing carbon, how do you do that with a GRP II/III base? Low enough cost Valvoline can mass market it????????

spacer.pngMicro Lube is a derivative of USAF authorized additive that I can't remember the MIL # for.

Was used in this WASP MAJOR R-4360 engine until the KC97 was retired in 1973.

Now don't think its that simple because you don't add cyclo alone.  But I am betting this is a building block cause its EFFECTIVE and CHEAP unlike all the esters we have discussed ad nauseam here and at other websites that still don't know.

In addition to cleaning, the analysis reports I've seen so far of VRP also show it controls wear very well.

Micro Lube does too, mixed into a full formulated lubricant
