I have 2020 LTZ Silverado and with an extended warranty. It has 40,000. My Intella beam works periodically. Taken back to dealership numerus times. Changed out camera and control module. Still same issue.GM is wanting to see if there are any other owners with same issue. What I need help with is there any other owners that have a 2020 LTZ with the same issues. Thanks for any input.

Pull the fuse for the forward collision camera for 15 minutes vehicle off.

Pulled the fuse and still have same issue. Nobody seems to be able to come up with fix. GM nor dealership have an answer. Replaced everything. Just need to see how many other 2020 LTZ are having same issue. I'm thinking there are a lot more out there not working but owners are just not using them instead of spending the money to get fixed. Mine is still under extended warranty. GM saying they have not had this issue before. So I need to know how many are having same issue.

while it might not be common, i have 2 freinds with 22's with the same problem. all started after they had updates done to their trucks. gm can't figure it out

Thanks so much. GM has a problem that can't be fixed. Also Intella beam is considered a safety issue. With mine under warranty i stuck and can't get fixed.

Then I'd say the forward collision camera is bad again.    

 

These act up on the refresh trucks more than the 19-22s.  22.5-25 its pull the fuse to reset, if it resets give it back.  A good number won't act up again.  Those that do get a camera.  Some more than one time.

Thanks, but I do not think the dealership is going to put in another camera. They have put in a BCM and camera. There is nothing else to replace to fix issue. I was told by dealership that this is a GM issue with no fix.

Why not?  The camera they installed would be either under a parts warranty 2 years unlimited miles.  

 

Plenty of other trucks on the road with functioning Intellibeam.  Its not a "GM issue", its an issue with your truck.  Bad camera, bad something.

I will see what dealer says but I seriously doubt they will change out new parts at their cost and labor. I agree that the issue is with truck but from other replies there are quite a few with same problem. Now I am wondering how many out there work correctly. 

Thanks much for input. Just want to get this issue fixed and I am out of options.

Clearly there have been issues with intellibeam, but ours have not had a failure -- so it's not an 'every vehicle' issue.

 

Been running intellibeam since 2016. 

(5 vehicles, counting his and hers)

 

All have always worked without failure.

 

Sometimes (not always) the speed switch points (doesn't turn on until above 25 mph, and turns on, and turns off below 12 mph it turns) can be annoying  -- but that's how they are programmed.

In some traffic situations I don't like the way it responds. (on / off too frequently

I do switch it off sometimes because in those situations.

 

 

I do like the button on the end of the stalk for operating it MUCH better than the original method when it was first available in trucks.  (if iintellibeam was disabled it required manipulating the blinker stalk 2 times in 2 seconds)
