4.10's or 4.56's?

I currently have an '01 GMC Sierra 1500 with a Rancho lift and 33's. The stock gear ratio is 3.73.

 

Looking for opinions and thoughts on gear changes.

 

I was considering 4.10's with an Auburn Gear ECTED rear diff.

 

Any reason I should get 4.56's instead?

So, 4.56's it is!

 

Will have to keep working on 'The Boss' (we all know who she is!) to spend the $$$

 

Any thought's on the differential? I would like to have a selectable diff and was looking into the Detroit Electrac but they don't make it for GM 10 bolts. The Auburn Gear Ected seems to be the next best thing.

 

Anyone have any experience with Auburn Gear or electromagnetic locking diff's?

 

Any reason to have one up front? (Not a hard core offroader, built for hunting and camping and driving through stuff when the mood strikes)

I don't really know much about it, but I know there are several guys on this website that have swapped gears... (I think most of them drive HD's).

With 33s, I would stick with 4.10s.

 

With 35s I would go with 4.56s.
