GMC Grill Conversion

The grill on my 1993 Suburban is starting to peel and I figure if I am going to change it I might as well update to a 94-98 style with a blank grill.

Has anybody out there done it and how much work is involved?

Where can I look for a good quality kit.

Mr. Taillight.com has all the complete conversions and headlight kits to do just this. They are very reasonably priced. I am purchasing this kit to replace my current 94' grille. The only thing I'd like to know is what the grille is made of. The plastic OEM ones don't hold up for squat. rocks and bugs tear it up too easily. I'd be willing to spend an extra $50 bucks or so to get something alum. or chrome.
