Torsion bar adjustment

Recommended Posts

I tried to adjust my torsion bar on the pass side to level out the front end, but it doesn't change the height more than an eight of an inch. I'm measuring from top of tire to fender. Could something be preventing the drop? :banghead:

I'm trying to lower the passenger side equal to the driver side.

I've turned the bolt way out, obviously farther than the other side. Whats up with that???

Thanks for the replies...

I raised the drivers side on my HD to equal that of the passenger side.

I see your truck is an older (OBS) truck. Being it is a Z71, I would think it would have the rubber bumpers on the lower A-arms. The truck may be sitting on one of those.

Thanks again,

I'm sure I can raise the driver side, I'm just trying to soften it up a little in the front. The thing rides like an oversized jeep!

Make sure you get an alignment now that you have adjusted the torsion bars otherwise you will get some crazy tire wear.
