new truck/ new lift

I have been reading this forum for days. Have learned alot.

I am trying to buy a new sierra 2500hd with a deisel. i am having a hard time finding one with a 8 ft. bed. So my option is to order a 2005. I want to lift the truck 6 inches with 35's? from what I have been reading.

My question is if I am ordering a truck what gears and such should I have put on. I wanting to know what I should and shouldent have done to the truck in the ordering stage to have it ready to lift after the purchase.

I know the look I want but need your help to get it. This is the first truck I will have baught and made big changes to so I'm a little nervous and don't want a salesmans help. Yours would be much appreciated.

looking for a 2004 ext.cab, 8'bed, white, w/ deisel 2500 or 3500 for work and play.

35" Tires, I would suggest at least a 4.10:1 rear end or a 4.56:1, the diesel's torgue will help out a lot on talller tires. What you have planned souds like it'll look cool.

4.10's will be fine.

 

Most people run 3.73's with 33"'s you should be good to go....

Mine is the 6.0l gas engine with the 4.10 gears... Runs and drives great with a 6" RCD suspension lift and 315/75/16 tires with 16"x10" weels, I did need to cut the front bumber to make this work but it looks good and worked good.
