As you can see in the photo, the speedometer is not accurate. I pulled the cluster to fix the drive indicator and snapped this photo. I am wondering if it's worth opening up the unit to fix this. I don't even know if it can be fix.

Any experience/thoughts?

What exactly are we looking at in that picture?  I don't see where the pic shows that something is "off."

we're looking at the speedometer, indicating a speed of 28mph, as it sits next to my printer in the computer room when I snapped the picture. :withstupid:

The other day crusing down the interstate, speedometer at 80...little old ladies were passing me. I would say something is off. To me it looks as if the white dial is out of place and need to be zeroed out. I just don't know if I can do that.

If I remember right, on that model year truck, if you place the spedo next to your computer, it will read your internet connection speed, via radar-teleconetic-sonar-microwaves!

You see, there are MANY benifits to owning a Chevrolet!! :withstupid::chill:

Dang, I gotta get me one of them!!!

You can't hurt much if you take it apart carefully and see if you can pull the dial and remount it at zero. If you fail, you were gonna get a new one anyway weren't you?
